Douglas, WY – July 26, 2024 – The Wyoming State Fair is excited to announce a significant increase in payouts for our market goat, beef, sheep, and swine shows, thanks to the generous sponsorships of businesses and individuals across the state. This year, the Wyoming State Fair will be awarding cash prizes to the Overall Top 5 market animals in Market Beef, Market Sheep, Market Swine, and Market Goats. These are a substantial boost, reflecting our commitment to supporting our exhibitors and their outstanding efforts.
In 2023, the Wyoming State Fair awarded a combined total of $350.00 for our grand and reserve champion prizes. This year, thanks to the astounding support from our stakeholders, we are thrilled to share that we have $13,650 in Top 5 contributions confirmed as of July 18th, but could still use support to make all payouts happen.
Courtny Conkle, General Manager of the Wyoming State Fair, expressed her gratitude, saying, “These exhibitors are the backbone of our event, and their dedication and hard work are truly inspiring. Celebrating their efforts with increased payouts is the least we can do to show our appreciation. I also want to thank our superintendents for their grassroots efforts in making this vision a reality. The increased payouts are a testament to the incredible support from our sponsors and their support of agriculturalists, and we are deeply grateful.”
Jarrod Robles, Partnerships & Events Coordinator, added, “Every phone call I’ve made has been met with increasing excitement. Feed distributors, Breeders, Ranchers, and Show enthusiasts from across Utah, Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming have come together to truly reward our next generation of hard workers.”
