About us

The Wyoming State Fair officially started in 1905 in Douglas, Wyoming. The fair has always been an event that has showcased the culture and heritage of Wyoming. The Wyoming State Fair has been a gathering point for generations of families, while providing a quality educational experience and entertainment for all who have attended. The Wyoming State Fair is a celebration of all things Wyoming and showcases our pride in our agriculture, education, youth and western lifestyle.

A black and white photograph captures a cowboy preparing for a rodeo event. He is seated on a well-groomed horse, holding a lasso in his right hand, ready to make his move. The cowboy is wearing a checkered button-up shirt adorned with sponsor patches, jeans, and a black cowboy hat that shades his eyes, giving him a focused and determined look. His horse, outfitted with a bridle and sturdy saddle, appears calm and attentive. In the background, another cowboy wearing a white hat and a Western-style shirt observes the scene, adding depth and context to the rodeo setting. The composition of the image emphasizes the intensity and tradition of rodeo culture.
This black and white photo captures a young woman showing her steer for competition at the fair. Dressed in a satin shirt and wearing a belt with an ornate buckle, she focuses intently holding the halter on her animal. Her blonde hair flows over her shoulder, and she wears multiple wristbands and bracelets. The steer, calm and steady, stands beside her, its large eyes gazing forward. The blurred background showcases the show ring. This image beautifully reflects the dedication and hard work of youth involved in agricultural competitions.
