The Wyoming State Fair is pleased to announce that Courtny Conkle has been honored with the prestigious Fair Manager of the Year award at the 2023 RMAF Convention held in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Courtny Conkle has already made a significant impact on the fair industry, with over two decades of experience and a remarkable journey that began as a concessionaire in the family-owned Conkles Concessions.
Courtny’s passion for the fair industry was evident from a young age when she started working alongside her father, Christopher Conkle, in the family business. At the age of 20, she made history by becoming the youngest fair CEO, setting the stage for a series of record-breaking achievements throughout her career. In 2019, Courtny Conkle shattered barriers once again, becoming the first female Executive of the Wyoming State Fair.
Under Courtny’s leadership, the Wyoming State Fair has experienced unprecedented growth, with attendance surging by over 120%. Her strategic vision and commitment to excellence have resulted in continuous improvements year over year, solidifying her reputation as a trailblazer in the fair industry.
Courtny Conkle holds the Certified Fair Executive Designation (CFE) and is a licensed Certified Concessionaire Executive (CCE), showcasing her dedication to professional development and industry expertise. Her remarkable journey includes serving as the exhibits representative and interim CEO at Sonoma-Marin Fair, as well as holding the CEO position at the Lake County Fair before assuming the role of General Manager at the Wyoming State Fair.
In addition to her contributions to the Wyoming State Fair, Courtny has actively worked with a multitude of fairs, leveraging her expertise to enhance the industry and provide valuable resources. Her commitment to innovation and collaboration has left an indelible mark on the fair community.
