Market Animal Drug Testing

NEW for 2023, the Wyoming State Fair will be drug testing Youth Market Swine, Beef, Goats and Sheep. For these market species, drug testing will be mandatory for the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion award winners and two randomly selected market animals from each species.

At the Wyoming State Fair we value education, animal welfare, protecting the food chain, and fostering fair competition. Drug testing is a valuable tool to help exhibitors and families to understand the possible implications of using substances on their animal.
